    How It Works

    Mechanism of action

TRPV1 agonist that initially excites then desensitizes pain fibers, depleting substance P from sensory neurons. With repeated use it reduces neuropathic and arthritic pain signaling at the source.

    Did you know?

Capsaicin is what makes chili peppers hot — the same molecule that triggers a burn ultimately quiets pain nerves when used consistently.

    What compounding can change

When Capsaicin is compounded for one patient, your prescriber can choose the concentration, combine it with other ingredients, and pick the base. Commercial products come in fixed strengths and bases.
