    How It Works

    Mechanism of action

A chelated, gentle form of iron with high bioavailability and less GI irritation than ferrous salts. The glycine chelate protects iron through the gut for absorption. Compounded for iron deficiency with better tolerability.

    What compounding can change

When Iron Bisglycinate is compounded for one patient, your prescriber can choose the concentration, combine it with other ingredients, and pick the base. Commercial products come in fixed strengths and bases.
