Selective PDE5 inhibitor. Prevents degradation of cGMP in corpus cavernosum smooth muscle, enhancing nitric oxide–mediated vasodilation and penile erection in response to sexual stimulation.
What compounding can change
When Sildenafil is compounded for one patient, your prescriber can choose the concentration, combine it with other ingredients, and pick the base. Commercial products come in fixed strengths and bases.
